The National Heroes Stadium has been declared unfit to host international matches by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
According to the list revealed by CAF, Zambia’s biggest Stadium is not among those that have been listed fit to host international matches recognized by FIFA and CAF.
Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium is the only Zambia arena that has made it on the list of over 40 stadia that have been approved by CAF on the continent.
This effectively means that Zambia’s AfCON qualifier against Ivory Coast in June will be staged in Ndola.
