MMD youths from the Felix Mutati camp have reacted angrily to assertions that they are enjoying more than their counterparts from the PF as alleged by former Livingstone District Commissioner Paul Sensele.

Responding to a statement in The Mast newspaper were the former Livingstone DC accused former President Rupiah Banda of using his friendship with the PF to prepare MMD to takeover government in 2021 with Felix Mutati as president, National Youth Chairperson Dauzen Tembo said members of the UPND should concentrate on telling their leaders to seek a fresh mandate by going to a convention as opposed to baseless accusations aimed at destroying the good relations that MMD and Banda enjoys with President Edgar Lungu.

in a statement issued by the MMD Media Team, Tembo advised Sensele to use other means to catch their attention in their bid to rejoin the the former ruling party as opposed to issuing alarming statements.

“As MMD youths we will not be swayed by these lumpens who like Sensele in their regret after leaving our party are now trying to get our attention so that perhaps we can welcome them back, they should use other means to get our attention other than insulting our former head of state.

“The UPND is uncomfortable with the respect President Lungu has accorded the Office of the former Head of State and is now shooting aimlessly with the hope that this would destroy the good and mutual relation he is enjoying. In fact President Lungu must be commended for putting his foot down on according respect to all former heads of state and their families.

He further described as nonsensical the accusation that MMD president Felix Mutati was meeting structures when on tours of duty.

“We also want to guide this Sensele that his insinuations that our President Felix Mutati, who is Minister of Finance under the able leadership of President Lungu, is meeting party members when on tours of duty, is baseless and nonsensical.

“Unlike the UPND the MMD is a well-structured party with functionaries to perform the duties of reorganizing the party, as opposed to their party which depend on handouts from GBM,” he said.

He also advised Sensele to channel his energies to advise his president and party members to accept the outcome of the 2016 polls saying the nation was worried about UPND leader’s mental health as he has started even lying about talking to Trump when in fact not.

‘Sensele should use his energy to advise his President and the entire UPND to accept defeat and move on. Right now the country is worried about the state of mind of the UPND leaders who has even started swimming in lies that he is talking with President Donald Trump, we find those statements childish,” he said.
