9 year-old girl impregnated by 13 year-old cousin

A nine year old girl who recently gave at United Bulawayo Hospital in Zimbabwe’s second capital city, Bulawayo was impregnated by her 13 year old cousin brother.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said after DNA tests were conducted it has been established that the 9-year-old was impregnated by her 13-year-old cousin brother.

ZRP spokesperson Paul Nyathi said this came after having earlier interviewed her father as a suspect.

He added that both children now “receiving counselling” at the Police Victims Friendly Unit.
