ZESCO warns of power outages in Muchinga, Luapula Provinces

The country’s power utility, ZESCO has warned of planned power cuts in Muchinga, Luapula and some parts of the Northern Province.

In a public notice ZESCO said the electricity supply interruptions will be to pave way for maintenance works at 330KV Mpika-Pensulo transmission.

The planned outages will take place on Sunday 21st September 2025 between 06:00 and 18:00 hours.

ZESCO however warned electricity users to treat all power lines as live to avoid the danger of electrocution.
