Chingola based prominent clergy Bishop Joseph Kazhila has called on Zambians to be wary of false prophets ahead of the August general elections.

Bishop Kazhila who is the General oversea of Life Gospel Fellowship Ministries International says Zambians should be on the lookout of some greedy clergy within and outside the country who for the love of money would give false prophets on the upcoming elections.

Two Prophets so far – Isaac Amata of Nigeria and Inter-denomination Jesus Ministries Church Overseer John Simfukwe have prophesied that Edgar Lungu will win the August presidential election.

But Bishop Kazhila who telephoned Zambian Eye this morning, Monday, expressed concern at the prophecies which he said could misled Zambians when in actual sense were from false prophets.

Bishop Kahila later sent the following statement:

All Zambians should be wary of religious deceptions and extremism which are being orchestrated by some greedy clergy within and outside Zambia concerning the forth coming August 11, 2016 general elections. These “prophets”, for the love of money, have seen this as an opportunity to prosper by using the name of the LORD in vain. They have conspired with some politicians to manipulate, deceive and cheat unsuspecting Zambians, especially Christians that God has told them that this candidate is the one winning the presidency in the August 2016 elections. Please don’t believe and tolerate them whether they are prophesying in favor of the ruling party or for the opposition, because it is not God who has sent them but they are doing it simply for their personal selfish “belly” motives. It is sad that Sangomas and magicians (cum “prophets”) together with some backslidden clergy (who no longer fear God) have ganged up to prophesy things which God has not shown them hoping to influence and convince people to vote for their pay masters. Politicians knowing that these people love money more than God are now hiring them to cast spells on their opponents just like Balak hired Balaam to curse Israel.

Sadly most Christians are easily deceived as long as someone says “thus says the Lord” they quickly believe it as from God, and regard the person as a true prophet. Proverbs 14:15-16 says and the simple (people) believe everything but a wise person considers his steps, and is cautious and turns away from evil. Paul in 1Thessalonians 5:20-21 admonishes us not to despise prophecy  but we are also urged to carefully scrutinize or examine it so that we hold fast or believe only that which is of God. Apostle John in 1 John 4:1 warns us not to believe every spirit, but to test them so that we see whether they are of God or not, because false prophets have gone out into the world (to deceive). Paul In 2 Thessalonians 2:2 urges believers not to be easily unsettled or alarmed by the teachings allegedly from them-whether by prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter-asserting to this or that…Fellow Zambians let us grow up and be like the Bereans (Acts 17:11) who had to search scriptures to confirm whether what they were taught by Paul were of God or not before they would commit themselves to believe it otherwise we may fall into evil schemes of men.

Fellow Zambians be careful because “magicians” have crept into the Church where they are comfortably doing their magic among unsuspecting believers who call everything said as prophecy and idolize man instead of God. These “prophets’ are busy building their own names instead of that of God as they lure people to shout and scream “prophesy, prophesy, man or woman of God. Just because someone tells you your mobile numbers, name, date of births, your blood group, where you live, the underwear you are putting on is not the mark that they are genuine men or women of God because magicians too can. When Moses’s stuff turned into a snake the Egyptian magicians also did the same. Jesus said you shall know them by their fruit (their words and deeds) and not by prophecy or miracles.

Jeremiah 14:14-16 says “the prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds”. Jeremiah 23:16 says “do not listen to what these the prophets are prophesying to you, because they are filling you with false hopes, and that they speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD”. Jeremiah 29:8 the LORD almighty warns us not to let the prophets and diviners among us to deceive us, and warns us not to entertain their dreams which we encourage them to have. A godly prophecy when it comes must exhort, comfort and encourage people (1 Corinthians14:3) and not create tension and animosity in the land.

Be wary of these “prophets” from west Africa or other nations or even those from within Zambia who are going round or are yet to go around the whole country on sponsored missions to falsely prophesy of things God hasn’t said. Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) should come out in the open and guide the nation concerning these prophecies and where possible cite them for electoral mal practices because when they prophesy that this or that candidate is winning the elections to me they are already rigging the elections. They are distorting the tenets of democracy by influencing people to toil their line of thought. Yes clergy, like any other Zambians, can have their own preferred candidates to support and can also therefore influence others by persuasion without lying that God has said this or that. Let people go to vote for candidates of their choice from either the ruling party or the opposition based on personal conviction that such candidates will help to emancipate them from the economic and social maladies Zambia is facing.

May I caution all those local and international “prophets” who are hired to prophesy for or against certain candidates in the ruling or opposition parties that God is watching you and you can’t mock him, and you shall reap what you are sowing. You shall end up in hell for loving proceeds of crime. Jesus stated that what shall it profit a man to own the whole world and finally lose his soul into hell? When you go out prophesying lies for your masters who have hired you, you are simply selling your birth rights for the sake of accursed silver and gold.

Fellow Zambians let us beware also of some men and women who are going round accusing innocent people as Satanists, witches, wizards, sorcerers, freemasons etc. They are just liars and may possibly be the devil worshippers themselves. The Church and it’s leaders should be more involved in the ministry of reconciliation and not division. There is nowhere in the bible where we find Jesus or his apostles accusing anyone of witchcraft or any other vices but He preached the good news of God’s kingdom in love and gave His audience opportunity to repent and believe Him. I therefore wonder which God is using these false accusers of the brethren, who accuse innocent citizens of being satanists but fail to deliver them? Are these the men and women we can trust? What many people may not know is that when you falsely accuse and insult an innocent person for a devil worshipper when they are not you are actually attacking God because you are demeaning an innocent

  2. Thank you very much, Bishop Kazhila. At least we still have true men of God in Zambia. This is very encouraging indeed. This warning from the Bishop must be taken seriously.

  3. Dear Bishop Kazhila. Thanks for this peace. Please send it to the Post if you have not. I am not sure whether the disgraced Public Newspapers would carry the article. I wish they would. But i am also waiting for someone to sue these magicians for electoral malpractice. In a society like ours full of simpleminded voters, a statement from some sangoma prophet is enough to cause undue influence on a voter!!! Why is the ECZ silent? Do they subscribe to this demagoguery?
This should stop! We do not need this kind of prophecies. Otherwise the ecz should cancel all elections, ask the prophets who their god has told them to be leaders and then declare them as the chosen. Why should we spend so much money to vote when these sangomas have inside information on who will be what?

The Law Association of Zambia should take this as a matter of urgency and sue these guys so that this manipulation comes to an end. What is happening is the equivalent of subjudice when people comment on matters before the courts of law. In this case politicians are applying for jobs. Someone comes and begins to say who will be given the job even before the interview. This is nonsensical influence. It must stop! It is disgusting.

  5. Eleven Prophecies from Nigerian Pastors on 2015 elections that came out wrong

    By + on May 4, 2016·3 Comments

Below is a list of prophecies from some Nigerian pastors before elections that came out wrongly:

    1. Apostle Fredrick, (Wonder City Chapel, Ghana.) “Nigerians should watch out for the second term of His Excellency President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Although it looks very challenging with him and his ruling party now, yet the Lord says Nigerians shouldn’t lose hope in Jonathan.” “As long as I’m concerned as a man gifted by God to see the past, the current and the future beyond the curtains of the natural, I know by the inspiration of the Almighty that President Jonathan is the set man for Nigeria. His next term on the seat will bring liberation to Nigeria.”

“It will bring hope to hopeless situations in Nigeria. On this account I therefore declare that HE Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will win the coming elections.”

    2. Matthew Ashimolowo, (Kingsway – KICC) “For Nigeria, the Lord showed me, who will win the election. I will not mention his name, because I have to be politically neutral. But when the president’s name is announced, 20 percent of a certain part of the nation will not agree. Eventually, after negotiation they will. We will agree that we’re one.” “…….. Anyone who incites people to divide this nation will lose his chance. Nigeria will remain one. After all the noise, you will be amazed that also some politicians will be shocked, nobody will be ready to die for them. There will be peace in Nigeria after the election. I see a man who will one day rise, but I don’t know when, I don’t think it’s up to 10 years though . He will turn the fortunes of Nigeria round. Nigeria will look like one of these advancing nations like ….. China.”

    3. Prophet Joshua Iginla “No matter how powerful or well-organized 2015 election is, it will be faulted. I am not a politician nor belong to any political party, I am just speaking God’s mind. The person sitting on the seat might not be perfect, but he will retain the seat. It’s not guess-work. However, it will be a battle between the lion and the tiger…Shortly after the election, especially on the night of the election, there will be great vandalisation. I see cars being burnt, lives killed.” “President Jonathan will win, but he has to pray about his health and so many political blows. I pray the two people who enter the Aso Villa will leave together. That’s why we should pray for the woman beside the president. The president and wife should pray that the first lady would finish the tenure together and not losing one before the end of their tenure.”

    4. Apostle Johnson Suleiman “I see President Goodluck Jonathan coming back but trouble… Patience Jonathan needs serious prayers……..”

    5. Primate Theophilus Olabayo, Evangelical Church of Yahweh “To start with God has revealed to me that there may not be elections…., if there will be elections next year in Nigeria, the seat of the president are not vacant.” “God has revealed to me that if at all there is going to be presidential election, it will be inconclusive……..”

    6. Prophet Michael Olubode “I want to let the people of Nigeria know that the Lord will return His Excellency, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to his presidential seat. Despite much hatred for him, it pleases the Lord God of Celestial to increase his tenure at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock. The Lord revealed to me that the purpose of making him remain in government is to use him to build Nigeria’s economy. He will surely bring good luck to us.”

    7. Apostle Dr. Amaukwu “If at all there will be election in 2015, I see President Goodluck Jonathan returning as president.” 8. Josiah Onuoha, Christ Foundation Miracle Chapel “The thing is that Buhari’s case will even be worse. Buhari has no grace to rule this country again. He is being pushed into it by selfish, diabolic elements. Let him go and seek God the way true Moslems do.”

    9. Pastor Adeniyi “Buhari has a good agenda to eradicate corruption in Nigeria. But it is unfortunate that he will not win the election, though he will give Jonathan tough time.”

    10. Guru Maharaji “There is no vacancy for Buhari at Aso Rock” “President Jonathan is the verifiable divine choice of the forthcoming presidential election….“I had publicly and sufficiently advised Buhari against nursing the ambition to rule Nigeria again.”

    11. Dr. Okhue Iboi, spokesman of Witches and Wizards Association of Nigeria (WITZAN) “I don’t see General Buhari ruling this country….” Election has come and gone, and the rejected (Buhari) has won. What lessons are we going to learn, especially from “Men of God” who claimed that God revealed the outcome to them before the election? Zambians, I feel must open their eyes especially about these prophets and prophecies because some are paid and others are devilish doing it for gain. God does whatever he desires…Psalms 135:6 Lwaba Mutale

  6. Thank for your knowledge of the scriptures. That is how preacher should expound the word of God, not from the head.

I think there must be a law inacted to prohibiting these satanists from misleading the nation, this is vote rigging.
