Zambians gather in thousands for inauguration

The Inuguaration of President-elect Edgar Lungu and his running-mate Inonge Mutukwa Wina is underway at the Heroes stadium in Lusaka.

Zambians started tricking into the 60, 000 seater stadium as early as 5 am this morning and by 9 am it had been filled up.

The event is being witnessed with former Presidents, Kenneth Kaunda and Rupiah Banda.

Foreign dignitaries , Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe and his counterpart from Uganda Yoweri Museveni are the Presidents attending the event.

Malawi and Tanzania have sent their Vice presidents.
