Zambians fill up the bars to celebrate Christmas

Zambians have joined the rest of the world in celebrating Christmas Day which falls on December 25.

Christmas Day is believed to be the Day Jesus Christ was born and celebrated globally by Christians.

In the Zambian capital fireworks rocked the sky  starting 11pm on December 24 as Residents fired them in the sky to commemorate the Day.

A number of gigs were taking place in many parts of the city.

Despite the poor performance of the economy, pubs around the city were filled to capacity as residents turned up to commemorate the day.
