Zambian Priest to take up a post at the Vatican

A Zambian Catholic priest has been appointed head of the English and Swahili Service at the Vatican Radio in Italy.
Reverend Fr Paul Samasumo is the new head of the English and Swahili Service of English Africa at Vatican Radio in the Vatican City of Italy.
The Director of the Vatican Radio, Fr. Federico Lombardis said that the appointment of Fr. Samasumo has been consented by the college of Catholic Church Bishops in Zambia, the Zambia Episcopal Conference (ZEC).
Fr. Samasumo has been working at the helm of the Catholic Church communications ministry in Zambia for more than 10 years and as the Bishops’ spokesperson.
He will now be based in Vatican, Rome in Italy.
