President Lungu during the Day of National Prayer

Zambia has declared a Day of prayers and fasting against the deadly COVID 19 commonly known as Coronavirus, reports Martha Banda.

This follows a request by President Edgar Lungu in his national address early this week when he also banned all gatherings.

Just today six new cases were recorded to bring the total number to 28 within a period of a week.

Zambia a country in Southern Africa which has always looked to God during difficult times have called for prayers tomorrow, Sunday.

The prayers will also be broadcast live on the National broadcaster, ZNBC.

The three church mother bodies will spearhead the prayers.

In an invitation below to the public sent to Zambian Eye, the Church has called members to join in the prayers.

  3. Those prayers are just a waste of time.
What’s is needed is scientist to find a cure. And doctors and nurse will complete the task of administering.

  4. First things first. Observe what the experts are telling you and see what other countries are doing. The rate in Zambia is fast rising because of the approach we have chosen. Complete lockdown is required.
