Zambia has declared a Day of prayers and fasting against the deadly COVID 19 commonly known as Coronavirus, reports Martha Banda.

This follows a request by President Edgar Lungu in his national address early this week when he also banned all gatherings.

Just today six new cases were recorded to bring the total number to 28 within a period of a week.

Zambia a country in Southern Africa which has always looked to God during difficult times have called for prayers tomorrow, Sunday.

The prayers will also be broadcast live on the National broadcaster, ZNBC.

The three church mother bodies will spearhead the prayers.

In an invitation below to the public sent to Zambian Eye, the Church has called members to join in the prayers.
