Zambia records 11 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health has revealed that the country has registered 11 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

The ministry pointed out that it tested 644 samples in the period under review.

This brings to 761, the total number of confirmed cases in Zambia.

According to the ministry, citizens should continue to obersve the preventive measures that were put in place to curb the spread of the virus. These include wearing masks when it public places, washing hands with water and soap regularly as well as maintaining social distancing.

Meanwhile, the ministry recently stated that the it has deployed 100 community health workers working with 50 case managers to follow up on those in homes under the new home isolation systems in Nakonde, one of the epicenter for the virus.
