Zambia is blessed, massive water bodies will help us create jobs – HH

UPND President Hakainde Hichilema writes:

What a blessed country we are. We will make use of these massive water bodies in Luapula province and create jobs and business opportunities for our people here.

So much can be done out of these lakes and rivers but for now our focus is to do agriculture through irrigation, tourism and fish restocking as all these will benefit our people in this part of our country.

Luapula province, just like other parts of Zambia has lagged behind in terms of development. Poverty levels are unthinkable but we can assure our people that we have a plan to curb these challenges.

This we told some of our brothers and sisters who came to us at Tuta bridge on our away to Bahati constituency for the by-elections.

We have listened to their cries and how they feel abandoned but we told them not to lose hope and that through unity of purpose and people power, we can create a new Zambia.

Remember for us: it’s Zambia and Zambians first!.
