Zambia enters third consecutive day without a case of COVID-19 reported

Information coming from the Ministry of Health is that the country has for the third consecutive day, not recorded any single positive case of covid 19 according to tests conducted in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, one more patient has recovered from the pandemic bringing the total number of those who had recovered to three. This follows two patients who were discharged yesterday.

According to the Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya after conducting a number of tests, there hasn’t been a positive case.

Meanwhile, as good the news is, the Biomedical Union of Zambia have urged the government not to be excited over the development, but to continue working hard in making sure that the preventive measures and effective communication is prioritised.

The union called on the government to expedite the testing services and to widen the scope to make sure that more suspects are tested.

Union President Daniel Mwimbe said Zambians must await more cases once more tests have been conducted. He added that the country is receiving a record of few cases due to the small number of people undergoing tests.
