Zambia beats Morocco 3-1 to brighten her chances of qualifying for the world cup

Morocco’s dream qualification for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup has faced a major set back after being thrashed 3-1 by Zambia in Lusaka.

The Copper Princess need just a draw in Morocco next Saturday to qualify for the tournament which will be held in the Dominican Republic in October.

Carol Kanyembo’s U17 princesses have dominantly beaten their Morocco counterparts in the first leg of the last round of the 2024 World Cup qualifiers.

Striker Namute Chileshe was on song, scoring a hatrick for the Copper Princesses who eleliminated Uganda in the third round of the qualifiers.

She scored a brace in the first half before making it three for herself and the team in the second half.

The girls will now shift their attention to the second leg, which will be played in Morocco on 15th June.
