Youths fears ahead of Hologram

Sellers of pirated CDs and DVDs have expressed concern, fearing that many of them will have nothing to do and may be forced to begging in the streets.

The youths who did not want to be named said government through the Ministry of Information has given them up to this month to stop trading in the pirated products before introducing the hologram.

They have since asked government to consider finding them an alternative business which they can do as they stop trading in pirated goods.

They feared that with the high numbers of youth unemployment in the country the business they were engaged in was helping them find means of survival and keep them away from mischief.

Government will in September implement the hologram to deter pirated products.

The task force which is looking at this implementation exercise has since embarked on a sensitization programme ahead of the implementation.
