Wina came back from SA last night – Lungu

President Edgar Lungu has announced that his vice, Inonge Wina, arrived in the country yesterday after three weeks of being away for medical reasons.

Speaking at Ndola’s Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport, President Lungu said Wina arrived in the country in the evening of Thursday, May 16 and she is recovering from her illness.

In April, government announced the evacuation of Wina after suffering heart complications. Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya constantly updated the nation, saying the Vice President is recuperating.

But the Vice president was said to be recuperating from a South African hotel, the same place were she met several visitors including PF Secretary General Davies Mwila and Foreign Affairs Minister Joe Malanji.

Meanwhile addressing supporters at Ndola Airport, President Lungu said he is on the Copperbelt for three days to come and fix the problems in the mining sector.
