I would have recognised you as Chitimukulu, Dr. Scott tells Henry Kanyanta

Interim President Guy Scott has told Henry Chanda Sosala the man the Patriotic Front refused to recognise as Paramount Chitimukulu that Edgar Lungu will recognise him.

Dr. Scott who paid a courtesy call on Mr. Sosala Saturday morning said as Interim President his powers are limited. He said he would have recognised Mr. Sosala as Paramount Chitimukulu but was limited as Interim president.

Despite the Bemba Royal Establishment appointing Mr. Sosala as Chitimukulu, the Patriotic Front government under President Michael Sata refused to recognise him.

This has been a hot campaign issue especially after opposition UPND presidential candidate Hakainde Hichilema promised when he just launched his campaign that he will recognise Mr. Sosala as Chitimukulu if he is elected as President. This has now forced the PF government to u-turn on the matter as they fear to lose votes in the Bemba region.

  4. The Bemba Royal Establishment has exhibited a very high level of wisdom and patience from the time this recognition issue erupted.
I’m confident they will wait a few days more for Mr. E. C. Lungu to correct this wrong.

What I find shocking is discovering that there are certain individuals that are totally against this reconciliation.
    Just to win a vote?
    That’s not Zambian!

    God bless you all.

  6. Rupiah said he was going to help pf to correct the wrongs they made, but Kapata said pf made no mistakes. So, they are still following Sata’s vision. Hence, they (pf) will not recognize Sosala. It’s only H.H , GBM and others together with the people of the North that will definitely recognize Sosala, chapwa. Let us not hesitate, its only H.H on 20/01/2015.

  10. Why didn’t you all stand up for what was right when Sata was alive? This man suffered a lot and you all did nothing. Now you want something from him and you start talking to him like he’s child? Like the way a child would be told “ndekupela sweety” in order to get them to do what you want. Just leave this man in peace. He has suffered a lot.

  13. As VP, Guy Scot was the chief advisor to Sata. Did he advise Sata on the recognition of Chitimukulu, and did Sata reject his advice?
