We will not declare winner just yet, four constituencies still to be verified – ECZ

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) will not officially announce the winner of the January 20 Presidential Election as results from four constituencies were still being awaited.

Chairperson Justice Ireen Mambilima said this when she announced the latest results from 146 constituencies.

PF’s Edgar Lungu is still in the lead, polling 789,848 (47.96%) against Hakainde Hichilema of the UPND’s 776,832  (47.17%). The difference has now shrunk to 13,016 but the UPND leader is unlikely to catch up as the remaining four Constituencies are in PF’s traditional strongholds.

However, Justice Mambilima explained that the ECZ will not declare the winner as the total number of registered voters in the four Constituencies exceeds the difference between the two candidates, adding that doing so at this stage would amount to speculation on the ECZ’s part.

  8. ECZ started announcing results from PF strongholds, and are ending with PF strongholds. This is all part of the rigging mechanism put in place to influence public opinion and deal with setbacks. The last four were reserved to put in numbers that would deal a blow to UPND and it shall show shortly as they attempt to increase Lungu’s percentage from 47%. All in all, I am still interested in hearing from ECZ how they have dealt with the issue of same numbers from different constituencies/polling centres which show clear manipulation of data.

  10. Flight HH2015 missed the runway on leading from Magoye. This is the forth time pilot HH has failed to successfully land at state house. All the passengers that included Munkombwe, Masebo, GBM, Nalumango, Mutati, Mrs. Mwanawasa, VJ Mwanga and patel survived with bruises and are able to tell the near miss experience. It is strongly believed Edgar Chagwa Lungu nde ewagweesa ndeke ya HH. Chagwa has made a successfully landed at state house. Chagwa abagwesa
