NDC shadow leader Chishimba Kambwili has vowed to ensure that President Edgar Lungu is arrested and jailed for corruption and theft of public resources.

Druming support for the opposition NDC candidate Alick Sakala in Mufulira Saturday afternoon, Kambwili told a rally that there will be no acquittal for President Lungu. He wondered why former president who have stolen public funds are acquitted when taken to court.

Kambwili says under his government, no acquittal will be accepted for people who have stolen public funds singling President Lungu, his Aides and Ministers. He vowed that a Magistrate who would acquit President Lungu will be thrown into jail.

The NDC leader says people should brace themselves for his leadership as the thieves would scamper when he ascends to the throne. He told the rally that the amount of worth accumulated by President Lungu and his aides were far beyond their means.

He promised that all the worth which President Lungu and his aides have acquired will be grabbed and handed over to the state.

Kambwili who was expelled from Patriotic Front (PF) told the rally that his expulsion was a blessing in disguise to him because God wants him to liberate the people from a corrupt regime of President Lungu.

He urged the people to immediately start showing their anger by voting for NDC in next week’s ward elections.

The NDC is participating in 11 of the 16 wards countrywide.
