Wanderers and Dynamos handed tough opponents in Barclays Cup
Legendary cup winners Mufulira Wanderers and and fellow promotion seekers Lusaka Dynamos who qualified as mid-season champions from Division One North and South leagues respectively have been handed tough opponents in the 2014 Barclays Cup following draws conducted at Football House on Monday.The quarter finals will be played as double headers on 13th and 14th September at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.
In a Copperbelt-based teams affair Mufulira Wanderers play the opening match on Saturday at 12:45hrs against Zesco United followed by the match between Lusaka city neighbours featuring 2012 winners Napsa Stars against Lusaka Dynamos at 15:00hrs.
On Sunday Zanaco will face Konkola Blades in the early kick-off scheduled for 12:45hrs before Kitwer rivals Nkana and Power Dynamos face each other at 15:00hrs.
Last season’s champions Red Arrows and runners-up Nchanga Rangers failed to qualify.
