Republican Party Presidential candidate in the coming United States elections Ben Carson will on March 2016 visit Zambia to explore on its natural beauty and
particularly to meet with opposition United party for National
Development (UPND)leader Hakainde Hichilema.
Mr. Carson says he is amazed why Zambia can have
intelligent leaders but remain ranked as a poor country.
He says he was motivated by Hichilema who took good
time to market Zambia on the international market when he
was invited at a business summit in United Kingdom.
Among other things Mr. Carson says he want to come and see
for himself if what Mr. Hichilema said during the summit
that Zambia is a good place for investment is true.
On his twitter posting Mr. Carson cited that if the
environment is favourable as said by Mr. Hichilema, he is
going to invest in Zambia’s tourism, transport, agriculture
and art sectors.
He says he will want to see Mr. Hichilema at
a personal level and visit State House where the head of state
is and share ideas on how Zambia and Africa can develop.
And Mr. Hichilema says receiving such a public figure in the
country should be well ultilised and the head of state should
use the opportunity to woo other investors in the country.
Mr. Hichilema says President Lungu should accept that he
has failed to woo investors in the country but should stop
politicising things that are developmental and beneficial to
the country and people of Zambia.
He says one of his tasks when he was in UK at a summit was
to market Zambia and ensure that potential investors such
as Ben Carson can come and invest in Zambia.
