Opposition UPND Chairperson for Security Captain Cosmas Moono is expected to officially join the PF today.

Captain Moono is one of the high profiled defectors the PF will parade today, Sunday, May 15, 2016 at a rally to be addressed by President Edgar Lungu in Chilanga, a source from the ruling party has told Zambian Eye.

The PF will hold a rally in Chilanga where a number of defectors mostly from the opposition UPND have been organised to join PF.

UPND Insiders say Captain Moono who served as Member of Parliament from 2001 to 2006 but lost to Peter Magande in 2006 and Keith Mukata in 2011 has been gearing to recontest the seat in August. He has decided to quit after realising that the UPND wants to field Mukata who recently quit his Ministerial job and endorsed Hakainde Hichilema.

By press time Captain Moono could not be reached for a comment as he was in a meeting.

  1. Captain moono was upnd ,then he became pf,then he.’ Rebecame’ upnd and now his again ‘rebecoming’ pf. I think we need a better term for such people. Defectors doesn’t seem to suit them.

  6. We all have God given rights, but if my right to associate is linked to robbing the Zambian people of their right to decent lives, then I deserve no right to life. A defector like this Moono is simply a traitor. And a traitor is never welcomed or respected even by those who profit from his traitorous acts.

  9. Mark my words, he won’t wine the this seat, let him eat that money, I don’t think, he will be happy in his life. Now that he has refused to share the money, and he is openly boasting, this is the end of him. Period, sold Jesus, Christ with five piece of gold, what am embarrassing guy.

  13. What developmenal projects dd he bring to chilanga ? Apart from moving from 1 party to dt other.
our zambia wil never develop as we are using tired en retired captains en generals . young en strong youths who are needed in metal and construction industries are given weapons and drugs to kill, harm en destroy one another in pilitical battles, that render dt rule of law useless ..
