Opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) has expelled two of it’s Councillors for Chimanja and Nakachenje wards.

The two are Peter Mulubisha for Chimanja ward and Arthur Monde for Nakachenje.

The two objected the nomination of Charmine Musonda as a UPND candidate for Chilanga. The two Councillors at a media briefing announced that they would not campaign for the party’s adopted candidate.

According to letters to the duo by UPND Secretary General Stephen Katuka the Councilors have been expelled for gross indiscipline.

Katuka has also copied the Electoral Commission of Zambia to declare the two seats vacant and call for fresh elections in the said wards.

  2. Were they even given a chance to be heard on their complaint? Even God gives an opportunity to be heard.

      • Yes UPND now is showing what it could do when in power, if any. Without giving someone chance to exculpate oneself they fire!? What novice leadership!!!

  3. You use morals as reason for expelling councilors for simply voicing concern but you use moral grounds to nominate Charmaine? I am confused.
