UPND Councilor in Chavuma joins PF

UPND FACES DOUBLE TRAGEDY IN CHAVUMA DISTRICT AS ANOTHER COUNCILLOR RESIGNS & DEFECTS TO PF IN THE HEAT OF THE ONGOING SEWE-MUNGOLE WARD CAMPAIGNS.

2 February, 2019. Chavuma District North Western Province.

UPND faces double trouble as Lingelengenda Ward Councillor Mr. Paul Mupila resigns with immediate effect and joins the ruling Patriotic Front party carrying with him more than 226 UPND members in Chavuma District.

Mr. Mupila who has been a well known UPND strong man and Councillor of Lingelengenda ward openly resigned and publicly denounced the UPND and its leadership citing lack of vision, roadmap or proper plan to follow in order to fulfil the campaign promises they made to the people.

Mr. Mupila also cited the disrespectful and rebellious UPND Member of Parliament for Chavuma Constituency Mr. Victor Lumayi who insulted the Luvale people and their traditional leader His Royal Highness Senior Chief Ndungu after they rejected him as one of the reasons for his (Mr. Mupila) decision to ditch the opposition party.

The former councillor confessed that the good works being done by President Edgar Chagwa Lungu and the PF Government in Chavuma District despite not being voted for by the people there have challenged him and lured him to join hands with the ruling party as they have demonstrated love and commitment to the people in the district and Nation at large.

Meanwhile former independent aspiring parliamentary candidate for Chavuma Constituency in the 2016 general elections Mr. Foloshi has also ditched the UPND and rejoined the Patriotic Front.

Mr. Foloshi whose influence and impact we lost to UPND when he joined them after the 2016 general elections has come back with full force having influenced the Lingelengenda ward councillor and the over 226 UPND members to join the boat.

At hand to receive the defectors was Former Minister of foreign affairs Hon. Kabinga Pande, Immediate passed North Western Provincial Chairman Mr. Emmanuel Chihili, Hon. Chrystabel Ngimbu, Mr. Martin Mbaya and other senior party officials who are in Chavuma District to drum up support for the PF candidate in the Local Government by elections in Sewe-Mungole ward slated for 12 February, 2019.
