UPND cadre killed in Lusaka

Violent clashes between PF and UPND cadres in Lusaka yesterday left one UPND cadre dead. The fracas occurred in Kanyama compound’s Mbasela area along Mumbwa Road.
According to sources close to the scene, PF cadres ambushed their UPND counterparts who were conducting a door to door campaigns and a fight ensued leading to the killing of the yet to be identified UPND member.
Several UPND members were left nursing serious injuries following the fights.
A few weeks ago, another UPND member, 24-year-old Malesu Mukonka was murdered by suspected PF cadres. No arrests have been made in both incidences.
