UNZA casual workes demand permanent jobs

Over 200 Casual Workers at the University of Zambia are demanding to be placed on permanent employment following the signing of a law by government last year to end casualization.

The workers who sought to remain anonymous told Hot FM News that they have been working for the University for 10 years as casual workers under maintenance department without confirmation.

The workers noted that despite writing letters to the Labour Commissioner to intervene in the matter, nothing has been done to date to address the state of affairs.
