Unknown woman rapes 18-year-old motorbike rider, police

Police in North-Western Province are investigating a case in which an 18-year-old motorbike rider was allegedly raped by an unknown woman.

North-Western Division Commissioner of Police, Brighton Siwale, said this follows a report made by the 18-year-old at Kasempa Police Station.

Siwale said the victim, of Kikonkomene Village in Chief Kasempa’s area, reported that the incident happened on September 17, 2025, around 22:00 hours in Kikonkomene.

The victim alleged that he was sexually abused by an unknown woman from the area, whom he can identify if seen, and sustained injuries to his private parts.

“Brief facts of the matter are that on the material day, the victim was working as a motorbike rider within Kasempa township. While working around 22:00 hours, he was booked by a female person he did not know by name to take her to Kikonkomene at her residence,” Mr Siwale explained.

Upon reaching the house, the victim remained outside while the woman entered, pretending to collect money to pay him. After a few minutes, she called him inside.

“Just after he entered, the lady closed the door and demanded that they should have sex. He tried to resist but discovered that in the same house, there were two other women who forced him to have carnal knowledge of her, threatening to call others to beat him and seize his motorbike,” Siwale said.

The victim was then taken into the bedroom where he had unprotected sex with the woman, whom he says he can identify if seen.

Siwale added that after three days, the victim felt unwell and sought medical attention at the hospital. Upon narrating the ordeal, he was advised to report the matter to Kasempa Police.

A medical report form was issued, and a case docket of rape was opened.
