Two NDC officials die in road mishap

Two opposition NDC officials, one of them a Member of the party’s Central Committee have died in a road traffic accident in Monze District, Southern Province.

The duo were part of the NDC entourage travelling to Choma District to attend the burial of veteran politician and freedom fighter Daniel Munkombwe.

The bodies of the deceased are lying in Monze District Hospital.

Nine other NDC officials also involved in the accident are currently admitted to Monze district hospital.

Those admitted include officials from the NDC media and security teams.

The names of the party members have been withheld until their next of kin are informed.

NDC Southern Province Chairman and Member of the Central Committee Sylvester Simachaba has confirmed the deaths.

NDC Secretary General Mwenya Musenge will issue a comprehensive statement over the matter.

This is according to a statement Issued by NDC Media Chairperson and Member of the Central Committee Misheck Moyo.
