Tonga Chief invites Kalaba to Dundumwezi ceremony

Chief Chikanta of the Tonga speaking people of Kalomo has officially invited Presidential aspirant Harry Kalaba to his annual traditional ceremony slated for next month.

And Kalaba has told the people of Southern province that the 2021 elections will not be about PF and UPND.

Speaking when Bahati PF member of Parliament called on him at his Choma office,the Chief said he would like to see Hon Kalaba at this year’s Chuungu Lwiindi traditional ceremony that will be held from the 6th to the 7th October this year.

Chief Chikanta further thanked Hon Kalaba for passing through his office despite the busy schedule.

He Charged that Chuungu ceremony is founded on the basis of peace and unity hence the need to embrace all types of people across the country.

The traditional leader said Chief Shakumbila of the sala speaking people of Central province will be the guest of honour at this year’s Chuungu Lwiindi traditional ceremony.

Meanwhile Bahati PF member of Parliament Harry Kalaba thanked the Chief for the warm welcome to southern province and inviting him for the ceremony.

Hon.Kalaba promised to turn up for the ceremony and be part of the crowd at one of the prestigious ceremonies in southern province.

Speaking when he featured on a local radio Station Choma Maanu radio, Kalaba told people of Choma that the 2021 General Elections will not be about PF,UPND or any party but it will be about the past against the future.

The former foreign Affairs minister was accompanied by the district leadership and 2016 losing Namwala PF parliamentary candidate Kelvin Chikwata who has vowed to work with the Democratic Party.
