  8. Obviously this is expected in Southern province.
Everyone knows the dedication Tongas have to the cause of UPND and HH.
The same has been the case in Lusaka and Ndola, Kitwe and any other town where HH has had rallies – Tongas living there have all turned up with untold passion, creating the numbers that have been recorded in his rallies. But those are the maximum only numbers he can get in those places as Tongas may not be many in other provinces.
But in Southern province, huge numbers will be seen – much more than even in big towns like Ndola, Kitwe, Lusaka as majority in the province are Tongas and due to their commitment to HH and UPND they will all turn up wherever they are. Wherever he will go in Southern province the trend is expected to be the same.

But what can they do, regardless of their commitment. They need to work with people from other provinces in order to win. Yes, of course there are few people from other provinces supporting HH, but majority of the people have been put off because the Tongas have made declarations that have personalized or tribalised UPND as a party.
When HH was ascending to presidency, Tongas said UPND is for Tongas and so it must be led by a Tonga. This is what forced Sakwiba Sikota and Bob Sichinga, who were at the time vice presidents to leave the party. It also forced Mr Chisanga, who was at the time the part sec general to similarly leave the party.

For UPND to ever win national elections, they have to work on the tribal tag they have given to themselves.
The earlier the do this the better; or they can continue to leave denial and maintain the status quo, in which case UPND should forget about governing the country unless all other parties with a national character go to sleep completely. Only then!!!!

    • Why do you still waste time on such stupid talk? Is Mucheleka that stupid that he now thinks he is Tonga? Is GBM that stupid? Is David Phiri that stupis? Is Katele that stupid? Is Mutati that stupid?

ONLY FOOLS AND those who think like RB CAN TALK TRIBE now.

    • This is 2014 man! Be progressive.

You seem to be marinated in so much tribal hatred. People will give you respect if you made arguments on HH`s promises against Lungu.

The problem is Zambia has too many backward people who only think about tribe.

  9. Anyone talking about tongas is as stupid as his father. If u hav nothing to say just shut up. From the time pipo started campaigning no one has been to southern province to campaign not even yo vodga. Masebo went to livingstone n campaigned n they won that election. Dont think southern province is all tonga. Im tumbuka n i stay with my tonga brothers. They are good pipo.

  10. What do u expect in southern? This is where hh belongs its where he u amass votes because of tribal inclination.the mucheleka, nalumango &other pipo of other tribes who are in upnd are just used to make people believe that there is no tribal issue.but look at MPs,how many of Upnd MPs are in Northern,Eastern,Muchinga,Luapula & why? Hon.Edgar Lunch pulled bigger crowds Eastern than these shown for hh,and this was not on tribal.Hon.Edgar has not been rejected in Eastern, its only that Easterners are not tribalist to start blowing trumpets that Hon.Edgar is their son.Mind you,Eastern has more voters than Southern & for your shocking information Eastern is now 99%PF not because of Hon.Lungu but because of development taking place.HH should be ashamed. He steals the PF constitution road map and goes to media.Wait for 23rd Jan.You will suffer from depression with the loss.No Freemason to rule this nation

  13. The problem with Zambia is that people who are failing to put up a reasoned argument against HH`s ideas they slide into tribalism. Many Zambians have so much to cover in terms of civilization. Its all about tribalism. I`m glad people of North-West assess HH based on his ideas and not where he comes from.

  15. Very interesting. When Lungu has been campaigning in his strongholds nobody advised him to go to places which are not his stronghold. HH turns up in Southern province and now PF cadres have become chief advisors saying HH should spend more time in other places instead of Southern. Nonsense. HH knows that in life you should never take people for granted. In any case he has been to all the provinces. Lungu hasn’t, clearly telling other parts of the country that your support doesn’t matter. We shall see, its only 7 days away.
