Unidentified thieves have broken into Kasama Zambeef Macro store and walked away with an undisclosed amount of money.
The burglars, who were armed with knives and iron bars, first beat up the lone security personnel on duty before disabling the surveillance system and breaking the safe.
Police have since launched investigations into the alleged theft.
Zambeef is Zambia’s largest beef producer, the company also provides feedlot services, and manufacturers milk, chicken, eggs, leather and shoes.
The company is owned by Francis Grogan who moved to Zambia from Ireland in 1991 after applying for a meet factory management position.
