Teacher in trouble for sleeping with a pupil

Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) has summoned a Teacher for sleeping with a pupil at a girls school in Kafue district.

TCZ says the male teacher should justify why his practising certificate should not be revoked.

This was after the educator admitted having sex with a learner at the school.

TCZ legal officer Stephen Mumbi confirmed the summoning of the teacher in connection with sexual abuse allegations levelled against him and other educators at the same school.

“One teacher admitted (the allegations), so we are proceeding to inviting him to the TCZ registration and compliance committee so that he can be heard as to why his registration certificate cannot be revoked.
