Super league results, Rare win for Zanaco

Zanaco Football Club has recorded a rare win in many weeks after its coach was given a three months suspension by beating Nkwazi 3-1.

Zanaco scored all the important goals through captain Henry Banda, and a brace from Davies Mwape while Nkwezi scored through Chipungu Musukuma.

The win brings the defending Champion to 6th on the league table although a win by other teams might displace them.

Meanwhile Nkana Football club has maintained its lead of the MTN/FAZ league after recording a convincing 4 – 2 win over not so sharp Nkonkola Blades.

The win puts the 11 times Zambia league champions on the summit of the league on 29 points. Second placed, Zesco have also continued the fight for the top slot as they managed to beat struggling Lime Hotspurs 1 -0. While Tenant Chilumba has started his reign at Power Dynamos with a 2-1 loss away to Konkola Mine Police.
