Sumaili leads hundreds of Mourners at Kufakwandi funeral

Minister of National Guidance and Religious Affairs, Hon. Godfridah Sumaili and North-western Province Minister Hon. Nathaniel Mubukwanu have joined the ten MPs and hundreds of mourners in bidding farewell to the late Sesheke MP, Hon. Frank Kufakwandi in Sesheke.

The ceremony will start at the Catholic Church with the requiem service.

Hon. Kufakwandu will be buried at Chisu Village, 40km away from Sesheke town.

10 Members of Parliament from the National Assembly received the body of Hon. Frank Kufakwandi when it arrived at Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport.

The body was accompanied by Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa His Excellence Emmanuel Mwamba, the Widow, Mrs. Masiliso Kufakwandi and the son Joseph Kufakwandi.

The MPs included Hon. Sebastian Kopulande(Chembe), Hon. Kelvin Sampa(Kasama), Prof. Geoffrey Lungwangwa(Nalikwanda), Hon. Boyd Hamusonde(Nangoma), Hon Mbololwa Subulwa(Sioma), Hon. Maxwell Kabanda(Serenje), Hon. Mutinta Mazoka(Pemba), Hon. Machila Jamba(Mwembezhi), Hon. Teddy Kasonso (Solwezi West), and Hon Alfred Mandumbwa(Mulobezi).

Others included the UPND Secretary General Stephen Katuka.

The body lay in state at the funeral house.

Hon. Kufakwandi died on Monday in South Africa where he was receiving specialized treatment.
