State Security now hunt for Barotse Secession Leader and intensify Security at Litunga’s Palace

The Zambian government has launched a man-hunt on the leader of the Barotse Secession Activist and intensified security at the King of the Lozi’s Headquarters – Lealui.

This follows the Barotse Activists move to swear in Afumba Mombotwa as an Administrator General on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 to head what they call the Royal Baroseland Kingdom which they plan to delink from the rest of Zambia.

And Minister In-Charge of Internal Security Edgar Lungu has ordered Mombotwa and his co-leader Masiye, a teacher at Sioma High School of the Secession to hand themselves to the Police before they are tracked. Lungu warned that it will be bad for the duo to wait and until they are tracked down by State Security.

Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba and his counterpart Lungu announced the intensifying of security in Mongu and the King’s palace during their tour of Western province over the weekend. Mwamba said the King’s Palace needed to be secured due after the re-grouping of the infamous Linyungandambo, Barotse secession activists.

The two Ministers had a meeting with the Lozi King called Litunga and thereafter announced that a Police Post will be set-up at Lealui.
