State House does a right thing, announce Sata’s leaving country for medical ‘check up’

State House this time arround has done the right thing by informing the country that President Michael Sata has left the country for medical check-up.

The brief Statement by he President’s Spokesperson George Chellah does not give details as to where where President Sata has gone, for what kind of medical check-up and for how long.

President Sata left the country Sunday night in the company of his Wife, Spokesperson and family members.

This is the first time, the country is being informed of President Sata going for medication abroad. In the past the President has just sneaked in and out of the country.

Zambia this week on October 24, 2014 will celebrate 50 years of Independence, a major event that President Sata was suppose to grace with about eight Heads of States expected in the country.

The Zambian leader had not appeared in public from the time he returned from New York where he failed to address the United Nations General Assembly scheduled session.

PRESIDENT SATA GOES FOR MEDICAL CHECK- UP 

LUSAKA, Monday, October 20, 2014 – STATE HOUSE- His Excellency, Mr. Michael Chilufya Sata, President of the Republic of Zambia, last night left for a medical check- up abroad. 

First Lady Dr Christine Kaseba, some family members and his press aide have accompanied the Head of State.
