The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) is reportedly carrying out secret voter registration in Kabushi and Kwacha Constituency, one of the country’s main opposition parties has said.

Opposition party, Patriotic Front claims that an insider told it that people who previously voted from other constituencies are having their details changed to either Kabushi or Kwacha.

According to the party, the source says the excercise is being supervised by State House political advisor Levy Ngoma and Ministry of Home Affairs Permanent Secretary Joseph Akafumba.

The party further reports that the duo are said to have camped in Copperbelt at a named lodge in Ndola where they’re camping as they oversee the illegal changing of voters details.

It is reported the move is done in consideration of the development from court which seem to favour the opposition PF over filling of nominations.

The ruling party United Party for National Development desperately wants the two seats previously held by PF heavyweights Bowman Lusambo and Joseph Malanji.

President Hakainde Hichilema recently had to take up the campaign on his shoulder.
