Former Justice Minister under Levy Mwanawasa Dr Ludwig Sondashi has urged Hakainde Hichilema of the opposition UPND not to give up following disputed lose in the August 11 elections.

Hichilema lost for the fifth time though he is disputing the results saying he won the poll accusing president Lungu and ECZ of having colluded to rob him of his victory.

The Constitutional Court could not hear Hichilema’s election petition due to insufficient time as it had to deal with the preliminary applications brought in by lawyers in the 14 days stipulated by the Constitution.

Dr Sondashi a constitutional lawyer who visited Hichilema on Friday at his residence in Lusaka urged him to soldier on.

We are encouraged everyday by messages from the general public on how they feel about our victory which was stolen by those who do not value the voices of many.

Yesterday, we were greatly honoured and humbled by a rare visit of a freedom fighter, Dr Ludwich Sondashi.

Dr. Sondashi in his solidarity message stated that Zambia will never be the same again until the electoral injustices and malpractices that were witnessed in the last election are seriously and urgently addressed through a Court process.

He added that though people may seem quite for now, they are troubled in their hearts, are hurting and want answers and their silence must not be taken for granted much longer.

The people have totally lost confidence and faith in the Nation’s institutions of Governance under the PF and do not have any other avenue in which to seek judicial recourse.

Dr. Sondashi echoed our sentiments that we won the elections and encouraged us not to give up on the many Zambians who have no jobs, no food, no education, no quality health care services among others.

We value each one of you for your esteemed support.

And we would like to assure you that following our victory as you voted for us in masses, we will not let you down.
