All Power Systems and Fusion Energy have formed Synthesis Power Holdings Pty Ltd, a strong partnership combining innovative finance, solid technical solutions, current knowledge and expertise in utility management to take advantage of the growth of solar rooftop energy market in South Africa.

South Africa leads the way on the continent in renewable energy investment and rooftop solar is set to make a big impact, particularly with the recent turbulence associated with the REIPP programme

The market is likely to be transformed with the arrival of Synthesis, a Level 2 BEE enterprise that has developed an innovative way to fund and install rooftop solar installations.

Synthesis has targeted equity in the sum of R200million for its initial installations. It believes that commercial rooftop installations within its current model offers an excellent return to equity investors. It is looking to secure optimum and competitive debt funding from commercial institutions to enhance the offering, however until it does so it will utilise pure equity funding for its rollout.

Synthesis provides solar energy solutions which have been developed by a team of experts that include some of the most senior and well respected energy, legal and technical experts in the industry. For the last fifteen years, this well-experienced team has overseen the energy operations of approximately 1,000 buildings around the country, and this includes the prestigious V&A Waterfront, Tygervalley Mall in Cape Town and Melrose Arch in Johannesburg.

Jay Naidoo, CEO of Synthesis, said; “Synthesis was created to provide ultimate solar rooftop proposition to its clients, one which sets the bar high in every aspect, be it, the funding offerings, design, integration, installation, project management, after-sales support, operations and maintenance and on-going management and reporting services. This venture is the culmination of many, many years of experience within the exact field of energy management for commercial buildings. Our ultimate goal is to provide the highest quality of service, whilst maintaining world-leading quality standards.”

With an average of eight hours of sun per day, it makes economic sense for businesses to gain from PV solar rooftop panels. Synthesis will provide unique and unmatched solar solutions for corporates, shopping centres and other commercial enterprises.

Synthesis is not a once-off service, but provides long term economically viable solution to its clients. The Synthesis formula for success includes 14 branches around the country to support installations, 200 nationally available staff members, comprehensive energy solutions and continuous energy management to the client so that the solar investment is optimised, maximised and utilised.
