Siamese twins born in Kabwe

A set of conjoined twins has been born in Kabwe, Central Province, Power 87.9 FM reports.

The twins were delivered by 29-year-old Patricia Malambo of Mulungushi Agro in Kabwe.

Kabwe Central Hospital medical superintendent Victor Kusweje and Central Province medical director Charles Msiska yesterday confirmed the birth of the male conjoined twins.

The conjoined twins, who are attached at their tummies were delivered on Friday around 08:00 hours through caesarean section and have a combined weight of 3.5 kilogrammes.

Their birth comes barely a year after the country celebrated the successful separation of Siamese twins Mapalo and Bupe at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka
