President Michael Sata has sworn in old and tired Daniel Munkombwe as Southern province Minister and urged him to ensure the transfer of the Headquarter from Livingstone to Choma is finalized as soon as possible.

Munkombwe has served in all previous governments since Independence and his appointment has not been well received by both the PF youths in Southern province and the people of the province.

Speaking when he swore him in at State House Tuesday, April 2, 2013, President Sata said he was concerned at the slow pace of works in Choma. He said little development has taken place and was concerned that people will not take his government serious.

The President urged Ministers to ensure that they supervise developmental projects if the government is to achieve its plan to develop the country.

President Sata also swore in Obvoius Chisala as Northern province Minister and two Permananet Secretaries – Bernard Kampasa and Lazerous Yumba.
