President Michael Chilufya Sata has appointed Patriotic Front General Secretary Edgar Lungu as Acting President

Lungu who is also Chawama Member of Parliament, Justice and Defence Minister will act as Zambian leader until President Sata is back.

President Sata left for New York Saturday to represent Zambia at the United Nations Summit.

Mr. Sata has on been leaving Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda who is also his Uncle to Act when he travels out of the country.
