Sangwa leaves law firm to pursue politics

Constitutional lawyer John Sangwa has retired from law practice as he works on building a 1 million movement by December 31, 2025 under the Movement for National Renewal (MNR).

Sangwa made the announcement in a press statement below:

Sangwa recently announced that he was ready to serve, but only if the people of Zambia are ready to walk the path with him.

In a press statement, Sangwa put forward ten questions, not as a politician chasing power, but as a fellow citizen inviting reflection on the path to renewal.

He stated that Zambia’s future would not be built by one person alone, but by all the people acting together: each fulfilling their constitutional duty and demanding the same of those who lead.

“I am ready to serve, but only if the people of Zambia are ready to walk this path with me. Renewal cannot come from my sacrifice alone, but from our collective decision to change course together,” stated Sangwa.
