RTSA upsets employees and cadres within

Information reaching us indicates that some PF cadres within the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) are uhappy with how the management of the CEO Zindaba Soko, deputy director – safety Gladwell Banda, deputy director – transport Rodgers Nkandu, head of public relations Fred Mubanga, director – finance Progress Saiwana and head of human resources Kamang’ula Wa’chata are running the agency because things are getting worse.

According to a source, getting a monthly salary at the troubled agency is becoming increasingly difficult, forcing employees to “play hide and seek with the people they owe money.”

The source tells us that Soko, Nkandu and Mubanga in their capacity as directors are currently in Namibia making allowances for themselves when employees have not yet been paid their salaries.

“How can employees sympathize with a management that is out to make monies for themselves and expect sympathy?” the source wonders.

As if to further compound the workers’ misery, head of human resources Kamang’ula Wa’chata a few days ago posted on his Facebook page that “One source of poverty: Over-Dependency on a monthly salary, consuming it all, waiting for the next.”

RTSA makes a lot of money for the government per day, so them telling employees that they will delay staff salaries for September 2018 is something that is now getting out of hand,” the source complained. “It really shows that this management has outlived its usefulness in office and now it is time for them to pack and go.”

Every human being who is employed wakes up to work knowing that at the end of the month they will get paid on time, and not when the work is done, when it’s payday they receive delay notices.

The employees are human, hence they would not have to resort to engaging in illicit activities to put food on the table.

RTSA is an institution that is held in high esteem but if things are not corrected at the top, the public will lose the little confidence they have in it.

It is very hard to build a good reputation and it takes a long time, but it is very easy to destroy it and once destroyed it is very hard to build.

Before things get out of hand, the appointing authority must act because many families can not suffer at the expense of the few individuals
