Copper Queens coach Bruce Mwape has urged fans to troop to Levy Mwanawasa Stadium this evening to support the Zambia Women National Team seal of qualification for the Morocco 2024 Women Africa Cup of Nations.

Addressing a pre-match briefing at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, Mwape said despite leading 6-0 from the first leg, he would field a possibly strong starting lineup.

The Copper Queens will make their debut appearance at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola today in the second leg of the Morocco 2024 WAFCON qualifier against Angola.
“The fans should come in numbers to watch the Copper Queens because this is their chance, next time they may not come to the Copperbelt but go to Lusaka,” Mwape said.

“This is the right time to come and support them as they are playing at the Levy Mwanawasa. I am sure the only hiccup is that it is on working especially those living outside Ndola, If they can, I am begging them to come and support us.”

The gaffer famed for qualifying the Copper Queens to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and FIFA World Cup says his lasses will not underrate the Angolans despite carrying a 6-0 cushion from the first leg.

Zambia hosts Angola this evening (Tuesday) at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola at 18H00 CAT. Tickets are selling across Shoprite outlets with the cheapest going at K20.

Winner over two legs will qualify to the Morocco 2024 WAFCON which could be Zambia’s third consecutive appearance.
