Road Carnage Claims Lives On Great North Road

Two people have died in a road traffic accident which happened on Great East Road ten miles before Savannah Lodge on Thursday evening July 25,2013.

The accident involved two mini buses one coming from Kabwe while the other heading the opposite direction.

The accident happened when the driver of the Nissan Civilian registration number ALH 8432 coming from Kabwe lost control driving off the lane he was using and colliding into a Toyota Hiace registration number ALH 6105 coming from Lusaka.

The accident happened around 17:00 hours.  Meanwhile police sources who confirmed the accident said 8 others have been seriously injured while 10 had minor injuries.

He said the dead and the injured were both rushed to a hosipital in Lusaka.

The driver of the Nissan Civilian is reportly on the run.
