Joseph Olita the star actor in the epic 1981 film Rise And Fall of Idi Amin, has died in Siaya. He is said to have died at his home today on Monday 2nd June 2014.
Olita a Kenyan actor who portrayed Idi Amin in the films Rise and Fall of Idi Amin (1981) also featured in Mississippi Masala (1991).
He also played 1st Policeman in Sheena (1984). Olita in his prime stood 6 feet 5 1⁄2 inches (196.9 cm) and weighed 320 pounds (150 kg) which resulted in his resemblance to Idi Amin.
