Reflection: Self esteem!!

Today, let’s talk about one tool that you will need to be successful as you go about your daily activities, ESTEEM!

There is a very good proverb that I read that goes like, “the road to hell is built with good intentions”

I agree with this proverb 100%. Mostly what starts as innocent fun ends up leaving us empty, lonely and a feeling of uselessness.

Most of the time, in the pursuit for happiness, we end up sad and miserable. That’s why the bible says what does it benefit a man to gain the whole world and up loosing his own soul?

That’s why it’s essential that we guard our souls from things that poison us, things that leave us feeling empty and Rob us of our esteem. The human spirit is fragile, handle it with care..

I remember when I used to drink lots of alcohol. The night before it all fun and merry making. The follow day when you wake up with a hang over, headache, mouth smelling as if a bird died in it last night and empty pockets. Then following day you start asking yourself, what the hell was I looking for last night? You have no answers for your actions, you feel so sad, yet you repeat the same senseless actions..

The human soul is difficult, it knows not what it wants, and when it finds what it desires it’s unable to recognize it’s desires. The human soul is seldom satisfied..

Why do you think cheating is rampant? You a chase a girl for one year, she’s difficult, she finally agrees, you marry her, one year into marriage you feeling dissatisfied. Human heart is one funny tool..never quenched!

That’s why it’s essential that you watch the desires of your heart, the human soul never gets satisfied. If you don’t control your heart, you will just keep going till you loose your self ..

Guard yourself, especially from those things that Rob us of our esteem and reduce human dignity. I repeat muntu wandi watch what you engaged in..

Things that start as fun mostly is what leaves most feeling useless..

Alcohol, drugs, meaningless sex, masturbation, greed. All these things humans engage in with the pursuit for pleasure, often live one empty, broken at heart and desperate..

Watch especially for things that violate the inside of you, once peace is lost, forget about going anywhere in life..

Have you felt that empty feeling that comes after you have fornicated? Or after you wake up from a heavy drinking spree, over when you commit a sin against your own self like masturbating?

What is that feeling??

It’s pain..

Pain is nature’s way of telling you something is wrong here, something aint right, something is lacking somewhere, stop what you doing and check yourself. You might be doing it in the dark and think nobody knows but in the end that dark unhealthy habit is eating you and in the end only you will be destroyed.

Why do you think many ladies are in abusive relationships today? They lack esteem, they don’t know their value, they undervalue themselves, they don’t know their true worth hence it’s easy for others men to abuse them.

So to conclude, I don’t know what you struggling with, might be alcoholism, might be that you stuck in a meaningless relationship that’s is clearly not going anywhere, you might be stuck in a sexual senseless relationship, you might be a habitual liar, you might be addicted to masturbation or anything that is making your soul sad as at now, listen to me muntu wandi, how people see you isn’t important, amenso ya bantu yala lya..

What matters is how you feel when you alone, when you stuck in your room, are you happy, are you fulfilled or are you sad lonely and empty.

Most of us and indeed the people we see around us seem happy and Content. But I can assure you there is a lot of pain in the world, the is a lot of unhappiness in many hearts, there is too much sorrows in this world, and the sooner you realize what’s eating you inside and the decide to fight it, the better your chances of finding happiness..
