Chingola based prominent clergy Bishop Joseph Kazhila the General overseer of Life Gospel Fellowship Ministries International  has expressed concern that prophecies being delivered may influencing the voting in August.

Two Prophets so far – Isaac Amata of Nigeria and Inter-denomination Jesus Ministries Church Overseer John Simfukwe have prophesied that Edgar Lungu will win the August presidential election.

Featuring on Zambian Eye’s Hot Seat live texting programme on facebook Group Monday evening, Bishop Kazhili said prophecies on the forthcoming elections should not be tolerated.

“The subject matter is caution I made that we should not tolerate prophecies for these forth coming elections, and may I say it that I hold my position no matter how insulted or hated. Zambia doesn’t belong to a particular group or tribe or profession. It is God’s nation for us all..Let people go to vote on that day without being swayed to believe that God has chosen this candidate,” said Bishop Kazhila.

Bishop Kazhila said Zambians need to be wary of false prophets who he says are greedy and after making money. He said false prophets are used by satan and are trying to take advantage of the situation in Zambia.

Prophecy of God is backed by God and that from other sources is backed by demonic influence or zeal for fame or lust for pleasure including money. When God speaks three things happen.

1. People are edified, comforted and or exhorted. When God speaks His purpose is to save people from destruction. When satan speaks his agenda is simply to steal, kill and destroy; and when man speaks he aims at attempting to be popular,” responded Bishop Kazhila when asked on how a false prophet can be identified.

  2. upnd cadre pastor! Y are you jealous? Why can’t u just remain quiet and concentrate on prayers with ur congregants unlike condemning prophecies. Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged, and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again

  3. Zambia has become a playground for all devils in the world because of inept leaders desperate for political survival. What these devils are doing is prejudicial. If these false prophets are allowed to have free reign by the powers that be, then we can as well freely comment on any matter that is before the court’s of Law. LAZ, you have a lot of work to do. Some of your colleagues have become quite Lawless.

  4. When a prophecy is of God it will simply happen on its own or by God’s own power. It doesn’t need people to assist it happen. In short if any prophet gets to know who will win. He can just keep it to himself because the winner will still be as God says. To try to broadcast it is simply campaigning; and we know God doesn’t have to campaign. So those broadcasting their revelations have missed it altogether. You announce or broadcast a prophecy when there is need for people to prepare themselves or to take some action of some kind. If you prophesy who will win the elections the only action I need to do is not to vote because you have already told me who will win. I dotn need to assist God. BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS RIGHT HERE IN ZAMBIA.

    • Kano bachita prophesy for hh victory then the prophecies are true? Be realistic guys! And be careful the way you condemn men of God, unless you know the truth about something not because you where told by somebody. Yes we know that some prophecies are from the devil and the Almighty God has taught us that you shall know them by their fruits.

  5. IN OLD DAYS GOD CHOSE LEADERS,THESE DAYS THERE IS SO MUCH INJUSTICES IN THE WORLD,HENCE PEOPLE MAY DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET WHAT THEY WANT.
ELECTIONS IS MORE LIKE FOOTBALL WHERE THERE IS A DRAW, A LOOSE AND A WIN,WHERE THERE IS A DRAW THERE MAY A RE-MARCH.
WHEN IT COMES TO FAVORS,GOD DOES NOT TAKE SIDES.WHAT I MEAN IS THAT, GOD DOES NOT TAKE SIDES IN FOOTBALL OR TODAY’S ELECTION BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS FILLED WITH CORRUPTION AND INJUSTICE,HENCE THE PROPHECY TO THIS ONE WILL OR THAT WILL LOSE,IT DOES NOT BUILD ANY HUMAN BEING SPIRITUALLY,IT DOES NOT BRING ANY HUMAN BEING TO SALVATION.LET A PROPHET PROPHECY THINGS THAT WILL BRING PEOPLE CLOSER TO GOD. BECAUSE THESE POLITICIAN ARE JUST SAME WITH EMPTY PROMISES WHEN CAMPAIGNING WITH FULL OF LIES AND THEY ARE NOT ASHAMED BECAUSE WHAT THEY SPEAK IS WHAT THEY ARE,SO WHEN THEY SPEAK THEY SPEAK OF THEIR NATURAL BEING
