Proflight upgrades it’s free in-house catering

Proflight Zambia upgrades inflight catering 6Proflight Zambia has enhanced its in-flight cuisine service, offering passengers a free meal on all its services.


The airline has engaged the Lusaka branch of Newrest, one of the world’s leading specialist aviation catering companies, to prepare individual meals for its passengers travelling from Lusaka, while another renowned catering firm, Air Chefs, is serving travellers on Proflight’s new route from Durban in South Africa to Lusaka.


Passengers are able to feast on a selection of meals designed for the particular time of flying including sandwiches, wraps, fruit, yoghurt and muffins, accompanied by a choice of hot and cold drinks and a Umoyo Health Snack.  The Umoyo Health snacks include oatmeal cookies, Himalayan salted groundnuts, mango sun dried, banana chips and mealie chips

“At Proflight we want our passengers to feel comfortable and enjoy their flights, whether they are on business or travelling for leisure. A filling tasty meal is all part of our great hospitality,” said Captain Phillip Lemba, Director of Government and Industry Affairs at Proflight Zambia.


Newrest Zambia and Air Chefs catering companies provide catering services to airlines and their services to Proflight include preparing, stocking and delivering food to the aircraft and providing in-flight catering services.


Newrest Zambia employs some 115 people in Lusaka and prepares some 2,500 airline meals every day to the leading international airlines flying from the city.
